Ever.

Just let me reiterate that. EVER. (Unless it's a re-badged something else. Like the 4007)

Its the one thing about VW's - the styling on the base models is so immensely damn boring it makes you want to pull your teeth.

I don't understand why anyone would pay the badge tax for a VW or Audi over a Seat or Skoda.

Well you do! its all badge snobbery - even if the mechanical underpinnings are the same people think theyre better cars. The interior quality does also tend to increase though so an audi is a nicer place to sit than a VW than a seat than a Skoda.

Having said that my next car is probably an A4 at the moment as the audis tend to work out much better value in lease deals through my work (due to badge snobbery/depreciation) and i cba with actually owning a car.

Meh, Skodas consistently come much higher than the others in reliability surveys, and Octavias are lovely things to sit in, even the non-VRS ones.

Not sure how pretty much the exact same car can be more reliable, unless it is a case of the simpler (less well specc'd) car having less to go wrong.

Or perceived standards (ie you might have higher expectations of your an audi buyer than a Skoda). Also Skoda Yeti owners love their cars which probably bumps it up a bit.

My Skoda Octavia Business (company car) is a higher spec but same build as the VW Passat estate. But both use better materials than the Seat Leon.
It's a good car and opened my eyes to the Skoda brand.

I'm currently favouring the VW CC. If Skoda or Seat made something similar I'd likely lean towards them but they don't

my Leon comes in December (probably). 3 year lease so I'll be getting a car with 69 on the plate next time. Childish much ?

Just seen a Seat Leon FR at the second hand car place. Really nice inside and out. Shame about the tiny boot though.
