Man but Westworld is still epic. Ep1 was good enough but Ep2 was 100% tension.

Agreed! Great start to Ep2 being back with Arnold/Delores before it all really kicked-off for the park. The timelines are tricky to keep up with!
Very puzzled as to what the weapon may be, and didn't get the significance at the end seeing the terraforming cranes, (I *thought* that may have been the area we saw in Ep1 with the "newly-created" sea that surprised them all).

It's got me thinking about what's going on in the outside world, (Ed Harris' MiB timeline), and maybe they've used all that gathered info on park guests to blackmail/control people in high positions - given that it's expensive to get into the WestWorld - and some group are trying to control world governments.

P.S... edited the thread title as can't be bothered putting everything in spoiler tags!

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the sea. Also seems clear that Arnold set them up to end humans and do Earth better. Is/was his son dead? The unfinished house seemed poignant. What precipitated his suicide by Delores?

random plot guess...

the "weapon" is a set of host clones of park guests built to replace the real people in the real world

I mean that's what I would do as a super villain playing god

Could be , there's still the whole plot around Abernathy and whatever Delos actually want.

Thoroughly enjoyed episode 2, the plot is thickening. Great stuff.

Damn the timelines again!!!
So, it looks like Peter has escaped/been taken by Delores at some point between Clare taking him and however long has passed with the scene at the beginning of the ep, (Clare asking Bernard if they've found him).
I wonder if there's a whole park-dump inside Peter's head.

So is James Delos is the db in Abernathy's head? When his son was killed the company fell to William. The Delos loyalists are planning to make a play for the company based on the resurrected James and are trying to recover his mind. Is the other module Ford?

That was an awesome episode.
My take on it was that Ford has figured out the human-brain/hybrid-host issue and Clare/Delos have got the code/info about how to do it in Abernathy's head - but it actually being a copy of James Delos also makes sense. Maybe the Ford who was shot at the party was a human-host hybrid.
Can definitely see an internal power struggle though with Delos loyalists and MiB William given the fact it looks like he thinks the direction Delos is going isn't what he wants now.

What did Bernard slip into his pocket? It looked like one of those red brains (the human/hybrid test ones?). If I'm not mistaken that particular timeline is still before he wakes up on the beach where S2E1 started, isn't it? All this is happening prior to them being at the inland lake/sea with all the dead hosts?

I'm assuming the other module is Ford or Arnold . Not so sure the Abernathy code is Delos , I think it may be something else , whether it's a copy of the spy data or something.

There are clearly still 3 or 4 or more timelines on the go . I suspect there are other things afoot than just the human Resurrection thing - hints of Futureworld plot , is Bernard not a host?

Great episode overall , loved all the stuff from Harris, Mullen and Wright. Lot's of nice imagery and what not scattered throughout. Also .. remember Ford was printing a body in s1?

The sequences with Delos totally reminded me of

Yeah that's the holy grail I guess, explains why evenn the COO is trying to extract the Abernathy host as all cost.

I think Ford downloaded his brain into the hosts (remember Bernard talking about all hosts establishing a local Wifi network between each other) I think thats how Ford is bouncing around chatting to MiB and I also think he was in control of Clementine when she dragged Bernard to the entrance.

I also think Ford is the brain ball Bernard printed.

Last night's episode was the best since old-man Delos a few eps ago! Possibly ranking alongside it for me.

Yeah, that was so well done. The Episode was great even without it, but then that little jolt at the end was electrifying.

I mean, pure concentrated awesomesauce on display there but you can't help but think the next series will be one too far.

Epilogue vignette with black hat - he was virtualised with the general population I guess but why pull him out now and where is he? Was his daughter involved or just a useful construct for him personally? Head hurts a bit.
