Sake

Has anyone tried it? Can anyone recommend a decent one?

I've only just got into it and have quite a taste for it. So far I've tried

Drinking it hot is just the ticket for this time of year to keep my cockles warm. :-)

I'm going to check out my local Japanese shop tomorrow to see if i can pick up a sake cup and flask set to serve it in.

I'm an uncultured heathen, but I went to quite a high end sushi place a couple of years ago and was underwhelmed. I suspect it's just an acquired taste.

It is matey. Took me a few trys till I got the taste for it. I tried it in a Japanese place in spain and it was quite harsh, but interesting. Then I tried the stuff in the first post and I was hooked (has to be drunk hot). I suspect it's a fad (makes a change from me drinking San Miguel all the time - and is prolly better for my figure ) and I'll get bored of it in a few months when it warms up a little

I dunno, hundreds (thousands?) of years of Japanese culture can't be that wrong!

Tried the Ozeki one last night. It actually smells slightly of blue cheese when cold!!!! Very odd! (I guess I'm not selling this very well )
Tastes spot on hot though.
