Segways banned from the 'happiest place on earth'

Disney World resorts have banned Segway scooters from their theme parks and are forcing people to use Disney's own version as the only alternative.
The Segway scooter, a popular 'vehicle' in America, was banned as Disney claim it can't be approved under the terms of the Food and Drug Administration as a medical gadget, despite the number of disabled people who use them.
The ban has angered many would-be holidaymakers as it has severely cut down their mobility options, due to claims that the Disney version doesn't live up to the standards of the Segway.
Although there are some good reasons for the ban -with a top speed of 12 miles per hour, the Segway could be a danger to young children wandering about on the busy pathways and roads that line the resorts.
